Lawyers make successful mesothelioma claim for carpenter who erected agricultural buildings
Between 1948 and 1971 Mr K worked as a carpenter in Lincolnshire, and for much of the time he was erecting agricultural buildings. This involved sawing and drilling sheets of corrugated asbestos. In October 2006 Mr K became unwell with shortness of breath. He had to curtail his holiday as a result, and investigations revealed that he had mesothelioma.
Mr K was a widower, and in cases involving individuals with mesothelioma who do not have any dependants, it is very important to pursue the mesothelioma claim as quickly as possible.
Boyes Turner's specialist industrial disease lawyers were instructed at the end of February 2007 and obtained medical notes and records, a medical report and an employment history. We drafted the paperwork and issued Court proceedings. The mesothelioma claim was concluded for £91,000 plus reimbursement of the travel insurers outlay in July 2007.
