Mesothelioma claim for carpenter

Our specialist team of industrial lawyers were instructed in August 2007 to pursue a claim for compensation for Mr A, who was born in 1930. He had worked as a carpenter for all his working life, and had come into contact with asbestos during his apprenticeship, and then 17 years beginning in 1963 when he worked for a firm which was subsequently taken over by Keir Builders. Mr A became unwell early in 2007 and in the Spring 2007 he was told he had mesothelioma. Boyes Turner were instructed in August 2007 and the industrial disease claim was successfully concluded for £107,500 in April 2008, during Mr A’s lifetime.
