Fatal mesothelioma claim for electrician
Industrial disease lawyers at Boyes Turner represented the daughter of Mr K who had died from malignant mesothelioma in December 2006 when he was aged 86. He was exposed to asbestos throughout much of his working life. Initially, he worked for Mono Containers and subsequently for Callard and Bowser. We were instructed in February 2007, and obviously there was no lifetime statement from Mr K. We managed to contact three of his previous workmates and obtain details from them about the circumstances of Mr K’s exposure to asbestos, and the industrial disease claim successfully concluded in March 2008 for £57,500 even though Mr K was only diagnosed with mesothelioma three months before he died and he actually died as a result of other health difficulties.
