Annabelle Neilson

In brief

Annabelle has dedicated her career as a solicitor to acting on behalf of claimants with asbestos related conditions. She is an associate - solicitor in the asbestos claims team at Boyes Turner, which she joined in 2009. Annabelle represents claimants who have developed industrial diseases such as mesothelioma, lung cancer, asbestosis and pleural thickening. She has also represented claimants with silicosis and pneumoconiosis.

In public

Annabelle regularly attends industry events, such as the National Lung Cancer Forum for Nurses and the British Thoracic Oncology Group. At these events she meets with professionals from the medical industry and improves her knowledge of the current advances in medical treatment. Through this she is able to help ensure that any patients diagnosed with an asbestos related lung disease are given the correct advice in respect of pursuing a claim for compensation and/or making a claim for benefits to which they may be entitled.

Annabelle also provides updates on the law and procedure for asbestos related lung disease claims and has presented at hospitals, hospices, and at Boyes Turner's Mesothelioma and Lung Cancer Study Day before medical professionals. Annabelle is an avid supporter of a number of charities including St Michael's Hospice, Mesothelioma UK, Mick Knighton Mesothelioma Research Fund and Cancer Research UK and has taken part in a number of charity events including a half marathon, sky dive and a 96 mile walk to raise funds for these causes.
