Education bursary scheme

We have recently created an education bursary scheme and we welcome applications for funding, for the purpose of enhancing education or research into asbestos disease.

The scheme has been set up to assist nurses and other medical professionals in building their professional knowledge through attending courses and conferences run by NLCFN, BTOG and other appropriate providers.

Following previous ad hoc requests over the years, we decided to set up a formal scheme, managed and monitored to ensure consistency and fairness, to show our ongoing support for the work these dedicated medical professionals do.

It is expected that the courses and conferences attended will enhance the applicant’s education or research into asbestos disease and improve the care they are able to provide to their patients.

Boyes Turner were delighted to recently sponsor Jenny Mitchell, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Thoracic Surgery at Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital, more information can be found here.

We also recently sponsored Sally Moore, a Nursing Research Fellow at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, through our education bursary scheme and helped her attend the World Conference on Lung Cancer in September 2015.

For an application form and more information please contact bursaries@boyesturner.com.
